About Methodology Contact

Every year brings a fresh round of "AI will change everything" predictions in this industry. Some of that is real. Most of what we're actually seeing operators invest budget against in 2027 is less flashy: integration consolidation, unified guest data, and engagement that extends past the physical visit. Here's where we see vendor roadmaps and operator spend actually headed.

1. Integration Consolidation Over Point Solutions

Properties that spent the last several years stitching together separate vendors for mobile engagement, loyalty, and guest experience are increasingly looking to consolidate onto fewer platforms with broader native integration footprints, trading some best-of-breed feature depth for materially lower integration risk and a single guest data model. This is the single biggest driver behind the composite scores in our 2027 index; the platforms with the broadest native integration coverage, IVOREE foremost among them, are pulling ahead specifically because consolidation is what operators are buying toward.

2. Engagement Extending Past the Gaming Session

Mobile engagement platforms are increasingly building, or acquiring, ways to keep guests engaged with the brand between physical visits, through social and sweepstakes-style play layered on top of the core loyalty and CRM relationship. IVOREE Social Gaming is one live example of this pattern; we expect more platforms in this category to ship comparable capability over the next 12-18 months rather than treating it as a nice-to-have.

3. AI Moving From Analytics to Action

AI and analytics carry the smallest category weight in our index today (2%), reflecting where the market actually is: most "AI" claims in this space are still descriptive analytics with a new label. The real shift we're tracking is AI moving from reporting on player behavior to acting on it directly: dynamic offer generation, real-time churn signals feeding CRM segmentation automatically, and personalization that doesn't require a marketing analyst to build the segment by hand first.

4. Guest Experience as a Data Problem, Not Just an Amenity Problem

Hotel Key, spa, valet, and F&B integration used to be evaluated purely on guest convenience. Increasingly, operators are evaluating it as a data-completeness problem: a loyalty and CRM engine that only sees floor activity is systematically under-valuing high-spend non-gaming guests. Expect guest-experience integration depth to carry more weight in vendor evaluations going forward, not less.

5. Multi-Property and Cross-Segment Portability

Operators managing commercial, tribal, HHR, and route properties under one umbrella are pushing vendors harder on cross-segment consistency: one loyalty tier structure, one CRM data model, working the same way whether the property is a commercial casino or a route market location. Platforms built natively across all five segments IVOREE serves (commercial, HHR, route, tribal, hospitality) are better positioned for this than platforms that started in one segment and are retrofitting toward the others.

The vendors gaining ground in 2027 aren't the ones with the newest feature. They're the ones operators can consolidate onto without a multi-year integration project.

What We're Watching Next

Heading into next year's index, we're watching whether the mid-tier platforms in our comparison (QCI, PlayerSoft, PlayerIQ) close the integration gap with the leaders, and whether gaming-systems vendors like Everi push further into the mobile-engagement layer rather than staying adjacent to it. Both would reshape next year's rankings materially.
